Long Button and Copper Necklace

Hello everyone once again! In today's post I'd like to share with you a long antique button necklace, in colours of copper, teal and cream.

Altering a wooden duck

There have been a few days that an interesting challenge came up from a friend, art blogger. It was about our creating a project that would have wood as the basic material. I like to take breaks from specific projects I'm being on, and play around freely with several materials and techniques. This always helps me, to be better in improvising when I return to the initial plan.

So, I've been given this wooden duck as a gift for some time now, and though it's beautiful by itself, a lot of wood is laid around my house anyway. The duck's wooden touch just wouldn't let her stand up for its beauty in the rest of her surroundings. For this reason I've decided to do some painting, and dress the item utterly with colour.

This is how it looked before.

Needlefelted parrot brooch

January, and  things around us sometmes, can be white or a little bit dull. A sparkle of colour always does it and brights up our spirit! This was my thought when I stareted needlefelting this bright blue and geen birdie.

"Are you hearing a flute?" necklace

Goodevening my friends in blogosphere. It is almost a personal arrangement for me, that each day I need to create at least one little thing. This is what I came with today, and I suppose, it is no little. Handmade book paper beads, handsown together, embelished with small glass beads, decoupaged and then sealed with multiple layers of skin fiendly, water-based varnish, create a pendand that is the focal piece of this necklace.

Paper pulp decoupaged disks, a necklace and a pair of earings!

Hello my friends! In today's post we'll go together through making decoupaged paper pulp to adorn one of  a kind jewelry pieces. The first thing we have to do is play around with our paper pulp. For these projects I had prepared an amount of disks to use for mixed media jewelry. When they were completely dry the whole game begun.

First came a rich treatment with two kinds of sandpaper.

When there was a smooth surface to work on, next step took place. It was time for painting.

Poetic, mixed media bracelet!

Hello everyone, once again! So, there is a countdown to my etsy shop's opening... A lot of things are going on right now in my life. After all those christmas gifts and holiday creations, my friends finally got me down on this. I'm getting my work in public. With this in mind, tons of creation underline each day to pass. Today I'm sharing with you my last finished project, that is a mixed media bracelet. This bracelet is an adventure about getting opposing materials to a marriage. Soft with hard, delicate with harsh, black and white, a book's story with a wearable art piece.

Hello world!

Hello dear arts and crafts lovers and friends! My name is Natasha, and I'd love to share with you my moments of inspiration and creation. Sharing, afterall, is what everything is all about! In this world of opposites, inspiration just seems to pop out in every single corner, so I try to keep a busy eye while doing anything. I've been exploring lots of mediums and crafts, papier mache, fabric, wire, crochet, decoupage, jewelry making, beading, painting, felting, and so on. Learning new things is a favourite part of my art study. Finally, I tend to incorporate lots of different techniques in my pieces. There can be felt, but wire also, so as, papier mache, a little painting, a little decoupage... No boundaries. Freedom of expression is actually, what keeps me creating. Hope to catch up with you, all creative dreamers out there, and share our work, our ideas, our questions and answers. My journey to find you is a happy day of my life! Happy everything!!!
